Tal Finney

Tal C. Finney helped form the partnership of Dongell Lawrence Finney LLP (the Firm)in 2004, having spent over eight years as a counsel at the highest appointed levels inCalifornia state government. Holding his law degree from Loyola Law School of LosAngeles in 1991 and a diploma in international trade, finance, and business lawawarded in 1989 from the University of San Diego School of Law in Paris, France. Mr.Finney spent seven years practicing business and malpractice litigation, regulatorycompliance and enforcement, corporate transactions, and insurance coverage. Hetook a leave of absence in late 1995 to serve the public, resulting in substantialdevelopment in his government regulatory and political expertise. Since then, he hascreated a unique practice consisting of corporate and transactional, regulatorycompliance, land use and development, energy, entertainment, government,international business, insurance, and administrative law work representing Fortune500, government entities, mid-sized, and start-up ventures in a wide variety ofindustries, including aerospace, education, life science, high tech, entertainment,agricultural, commercial development, insurance and brokerage, and others.In 1993, Mr. Finney was elected Controller of the statewide California DemocraticParty. In 1995, he was appointed by the State Controller to serve as General Counseland Deputy Controller. In 1998, he was appointed to serve as General Counsel to theLieutenant Governor.

Caen Contee

A serial tech founder, sales & business development leader, and company scaling expert, Caen Contee has co-founded and scaled globally recognized startups in the electrification, food, and location intelligence space. He was most recently a founding executive at Lime – the last-mile mobility company now in 100+ markets across 5 continents generating $500M+ ARR. At Lime he concurrently led the International Expansion, Marketing, Comms & Business Development teams for the company's first 2.5 years. Under his shared leadership, the Silicon Valley based company grew from 5 people at Seed round to almost 1000 people and a Series D Valuation of $2.4B.With 15 years of operating experience in high-tech, venture-backed companies, Caen has helped raise $750M+ in venture capital, grown mobile products to 25M+ users, and currently sits on the board of or advises 15+ companies. He is now Founding Partner at OzoneX, an early-stage venture capital firm purpose-built to propelunder served founders with bold missions to deliver global impact. While at Dartmouth College, Caen earned a 4.0 GPA and scholarships to study political science and language in China and Latin America. As a Boren Scholar(offshoot of the Fulbright program for undergraduates) and Freeman-Asia Fellow, he developed translator-level Mandarin skills in 12 months. His diverse ethnic heritage and love of languages also had him study Portuguese, Spanish, French and Arabic. When not working to catalyze social impact companies, he’s a passionate chef, runner, outdoorsman & ever curious and self-examining. As Caen ends his correspondences, he believes it is “in our actions we serve”.

Lea Bajc

Lea brings 18 years of investing and operating experience with a boundless passionfor building, scaling and investing in mission driven companies. Her career began ininvestment banking and private equity at Morgan Stanley, where she also served asChief of Staff to the President. Lea has been investing ever since, including five yearswith Northzone, one of Europe’s oldest and leading VC funds.Since moving to San Francisco, Lea has served as a founder, angel investor, boardmember, and advisor to a series of companies and funds. Most recently she was theCo-founder, President & COO of Averon, the world's strongest and easiest mobileidentity platform.A Kauffman Fellow, Lea holds a Harvard MBA and an MSc in Business Administrationfrom Stockholm School of Economics and HEC Paris. She has served on a variety ofcorporate boards as well as on the Board of SVCA (the Swedish Venture Capital andPrivate Equity Association). Lea's curiosity, wish to absorb cultures and desire toalways understand people, has driven her to live across several continents. Shespeaks Croatian, Swedish, French and German. Lea is a mom to a vivaciousdaughter, nutritionist, former fitness instructor, aspiring ballet dancer and aperformance hacking hobbyist.

Manuel Eskauriatza Ruiz

Manuel, an engineer and entrepreneur, started his career as a founding partner of GIEskar, one of the most successful engineering firms in Mexico in the fields of Fire &Safety. Manuel was head of Operations for Gieskar Fire & Safety for over ten years and oversaw projects involving logistics, onsite operations, oil platform project management and Pemex Refineries in Mexico. Manuel went on to become a founding partner of GIE H2O, using state of the art technology to collect data from physical assets for real time event detection. Remote acquisition and interpretation of data enabled the Government of Mexico to better understand their water assets and meteorological sensors data. Manuel continued as COO and a Founding Partner of GIE Solar, first mover with international certification SEI (Solar Energy International), for a new generation of domestic and industrial Solar power systems in Mexico. In his most recent role, Manuel ran the operations of Mexsol, streamlining the process of production time, sales, and logistics to the clients. He also headed up the sourcing division that developed hundreds of suppliers for sourcing projects to supply retail businesses in the United States such as TJ Maxx, HSN, @Home,Kirkland's, Walmart and Wayfair. Manuel is a member of Climate Reality Leadership Corps and honored by former Vice President Al Gore, for informing the realities of climate change, democratizing and empowering low-income communities in helping them develop Renewable Energy and water resources.

Jose Eskauriatza

Jose, a British/European/Mexican founded Mexsol with a mission statement offomenting trade between Mexico and the rest of the world with a specialty ininternational sourcing and consulting.Mexsol is sought out by clients in private and public sectors in the US and Mexico,and has been a sourcing agent for blue chip American companies such as Costco,Walmart, TJ Maxx, HSN, while also partnering with the largest suppliers to Wayfair.Ecologically and ethically driven, Jose has worked on environmentally sustainableevolution of Mexican manufacturing. He joined GIE Solar, Mexico's Solar Industry firstmover as Development Director, transitioning the manufacturing in Mexico intoclean energy.Jose's expertise is in international trade, logistics and sourcing, finding anythingfrom acrylic sheets, glass, reclaimed electricity wood beams to sourcing demolitionfavela wood from deep in the Amazon. Jose is a specialist in FSC softwood andhardwood trading, representing Mexico on several occasions on its commercialbuying missions with American Softwood Association.Jose is passionate about helping disadvantaged youth and is involved with TheYouth Charter, a charity that delivers international personal developmentprogrammers through sport, art, and culture with his corporate coach GeoffThompson MBE.
